I’m afraid

it might be time to actually take the child to one of those places where people pay to have their kids’ beautiful baby hair chopped off. You know, those places where kids sit in little cars in a misguided attempt at diverting their attention? I’ve taken a pair of scissors to it twice (which might explain why it looks like this), but I’m still finding myself wanting to hold off on the inevitable bowl or buzz cut. Surely sporting long locks a few more months won’t be damaging to his psyche, right?

OMG if you get him a bowl or buzz cut I won’t be friends with you lol. He just needs it shaped up. I give Jacob a sucker when we sit down and during the cut he sits on my lap.
Sarah
Oh, please find someone that is going to give him a stylish cut.
And, if he’s anything like Lili, the little cars won’t help in the least. I’ve taken her 3 times and she cried every time. I took her somewhere else and sat her on my lap and she was fine.
I’m feeling it, I’ve snipped my girl’s hair just twice, once to cut off the two long baby locks for her baby book and the other to sort of get the bangs off her eyelashes. I keep resisting that real haircut. I like Sarah’s suggestion to just get it shaped up, may take her advice myself.
You could hold off indefinitly if you are going for the “son of a rock star” look–a la Kate Hudson’s or Chris Martin’s son.
A shape up sounds good!
Don’t cut the sweet baby hair. Just clean him up, but no buzz or bowl cuts. It’s funny how these LS kids have this fuzzy hair. Cam’s does the same thing and I find using baby shampoo with conditioner tames it a bit and causes it to be a bit straighter. I think his hair is precious.
