  1. Well, it’s not Ethiopian. I’m guessing Nepalise. It’s gorgeous.

  3. ok, this is wrong of me, but it is true. when i saw the pink yarn and a long wait for completion date, i thought, she did it, going for that sister for O. Paperwork and a pendant, so you did continue to pursue intern’l adoption. Congrats on your future baby girl! I think. :0)

  5. Hey, you’re adopting from Ethiopia, aren’t you? I’ve lurked on your blog for a few months now (sorry if that’s creepy, I ran across it via google on some weird search involving adoption ethiopia and lawyers). I’m a lawyer at a big firm in LA, and my wife and I just got a referral for twins from Ethiopia. You’re obviously much more experienced with all of this than we are, but if I can ever pass along any tips or anything, please don’t hesitate to email. And good luck – it’s a longer wait than it used to be, but worth it!

  6. Ok, the cross shape of the necklace makes me think another country….unfortunately, there aren’t a zillion countries open to singles, so perhaps Colombia, Ecuador, or Mexico???? Maybe I’m way off, but I’m sure the paper pile suggests an adoption.
    Waiting for Clue #4.

  7. Pretty impressive, Stace. Congratulations on your referral, BTW! Hey, there’s a new group for families adopting from Ethiopia, I’ll send you an invite, if you’re interested.

    • That would be great (the new group for families adopting from Ethiopia). There’s a pretty large community down here in LA, which is very cool. I am now struggling to understand my firm’s family leave policy and how I add adoptive kids to my insurance policy. Ugh.
