2 questions for you: What kind of camera did you use to take those gorgeous pics of Oscar? What kind of stroller do you have? Looks ideal for tight places!

  8. Very cool. Don’t worry about a name. We went to Vietnam without a clue. We had a short list, but no keepers. Once we had her for a couple of days, it was easier to pick. She won’t mind.

  9. Not much longer until referral. Once you see your little beauty, maybe a name will come to you.

  10. WOW! Congrats!
I’m still researching agencies. I’m trying to move fast, in case, they stop singles from adopting but it’s alot of info; which I’m sure many ppl understands.
What’s on you name list? Are you sharing?
I agree with the others that once you see her; you will know her name. Good luck.

    • Thanks, everyone!

My name list is pretty short. Actually, it doesn’t exist. Every. Single. Name. I’ve liked I have deemed too popular (e.g. Sofie) or too peculiar (e.g. Zara). I’m trying to buy into the you’ll know it when you see her approach, but I’m more of a planner. I knew Oscar’s name (the real one) was the right choice very early, so I’m wondering why this is such a struggle. Eventually I’ll figure it out. May even just use her birth name if it seems appropriate to retain, but I just don’t know…

Best of luck finding an agency. Don’t know whether the rumors are just that or fact this time around. Hope we all make it through, though!

  13. Choosing a name must be so tough! I definitely agree that it’s hard to find a cute name that’s not too common and not too strange. My best friend from high school is named Quinn which I’ve always thought was a cute, uncommon girl’s name. Just figured I’d throw another name out there, good luck! :)

    • I love Quinn! It’s on my current list, actually. The thing holding me back on that is just the fact that I know a guy with that as a last name and I’m not a huge fan of him. Love his last name, though. Trying to figure out if I can get past the link.

      • Haha, I have a male cousin with that name too but I always thought it made a way cuter girl’s name. I figure that, for the most part, once you choose a name you make it your own regardless of anything you associate with that name but I can definitely see why that would be a concern. But also it’s not too bad because it’s only his last name and you probably don’t have to say his whole name every time you see him. :)
