What do you think Ethiopia looks like? Does it look anything like this in your imagination? These make me want to spend more than a week in country (outside of Addis Ababa, which does not look like this).

Where I’ve Been
You wouldn’t know what to do with only a 1 week trip to pick up a child. Don’t you need another adventure like the one to Vietnam (this one without the “approval” stress). Beautiful pics. I had no idea that Ethiopia was that lush and beautiful.
wow, gorgeous. stunning. i was there a month and unable to travel much due to illness. i really want to do some traveling this time. i was thinking go to addis and bond a couple of days, go travel for a week or so and then return to addis for a few days for a total of 2 weeks. that’s the plan but may be hard to leave her after meeting her! who knows? but damn if i don’t want to visit that lush country side!
Good luck with that! I’d have the same difficulties as you leaving her after meeting her. Maybe you can tuck her in a sling and travel a bit? Oscar and I did that throughout Vietnam and Indonesia and loved it.
Oh how amazing to be able to travel for a while in her beautiful birth country! If you’re going to endure the flight with Oscar in tow, I’d stay as long as you could. Of course, the longer you stay the less chance you have of making partner next year I would guess. So it’s a catch 22. But lovely to even have the opportunity to be there at all nonetheless!
