3:10 – Kiss My Fat @$$ Goodbye

I am shocked.  I managed to lose 2 additional pounds last week.  Unfortunately, there is no way I’ll see the same results this week, cuz I sort of already shot myself in the foot.  I’m not entirely sure how or why it happened, but somehow I fell off the no carb wagon for about a 24 hour period.  A chocolate chip cookie was involved, which I now know acts the same as a gateway drug for me.  Not good.  Let’s hope I can turn it around. . .

  1. I’ve been doing the South Beach thing for a little over a month now myself. I’ve got what I think is a legitimate Phase II recipe that involves chocolate (I had found it online). If I didn’t have it I would crack and I have still been losing weight (16 lbs so far). It involves chocolate, peanut butter and a touch of whipped cream if your interested.

    • Hey Susan!  Great to hear from you.

Thank you for your comment – I would LOVE the recipe.  I think I had saw something similar a couple years ago when I started the low-carb thing, but didn’t try it for some reason.  I think the time has come now, though . . .

  2. here’s my advice: forget about yesterday. So you eat something you aren’t proud of, big deal. It doesn’t mean you’re off the wagon, it means you tripped. Or alternatively, it means your body craved something sweet and you responded to that craving. Again, big deal. My no-no is crusty Italian bread with olive oil, hot pepper seed and parm. If Gregg brings the bread home, I eat it. Not the healthiest for me, but it happens. The next day I start w/ leafy greens and eggs and move on.
You are doing great. give yourself a break. you aren’t super-woman and will slip up now and then.

    • OMG, now I want crusty Italian bread with olive oil, pepper seeds and parmesan cheese.  Kidding.  Sort of.

Totally agree about the slip.  I’ve moved past it and am back to my normal, calorie and carb-deprived state.  My problem is that once I’ve slipped, it’s too easy to do the “well, I’ll start back tomorrow” instead of just cutting it off at the pass and fixing it immediately.  Luckily, this time I stopped mid-day and have been on track since.  I really appreciate the support!  I’m still hoping I can be somewhat as successful as you’ve been lately (especially with the traveling you’ve had to do – great job).
